Safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene play a pivotal role in human health and well-being. Likewise, poor sanitation, poor hygiene practices, and lack of potable water have serious consequences on the health of a population, which can lead to health impairments.
As part of the global #16DaysOfActivism campaign, HANDS Nigeria, alongside the Nigerian Air Force Officers' Wives Association, the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, and the Fédération Internationale des Avocats, took to the streets to create awareness under the theme: Unite to End Violence Against Women, Girls, Boys, and Men. The march, accompanied by a dynamic group of drummers, was a vibrant and impactful moment. Together, we engaged communities, spread critical messages about the need to eliminate gender-based violence (GBV), and demonstrated the power of collective action in addressing this pressing issue. This event underscores our commitment to fostering a safer, more inclusive society for all. Join us in the fight against GBV and learn more about our initiatives to create lasting change.
