CiSKuLA
Cikkaken Shirin Kula Da Lafiyar Al’umma (CiSKuLA) is a build-up on the pilot Comprehensive NTDs Project earlier implemented in Jigawa State between 2018 to 2020. The lessons learned formed the basis for the design of the current project, which kick-started in 2022 and will span through 2024 in Birnin Kudu LGA of Jigawa state, with support from CBM Global Disability Inclusion (CBMG).
The project aimed to address the long-term effects of untreated and poorly managed NTDs which often resulted in serious physical impairments, poor quality of life and psychosocial issues, these exacerbated by stigma, poverty, social isolation, and disability. And thereby improving the quality of life of these people.
The CiSKuLA Project caters to the wellbeing of persons affected by NTDs and persons with disabilities. This approach adopts the holistic and inclusive perspective, focusing on the most disadvantaged individuals, particularly those living with NTDs. It delivers on 4 packages namely; mental health, WASH plus, MMDP, and livelihood.
